A team led by Auburn University biologist David Steen is participating in the 2016 Python Challenge in south Florida. The event, sponsored by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, is geared toward eradicating the Burmese Python from the region and raising awareness of the serious consequences posed to the environment by the invasive predators.

Auburn University will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast Monday, Jan. 18, at 7:30 a.m. at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center to honor the late civil rights icon's life and legacy. The guest speaker for the breakfast will be Tuskegee University President Brian Johnson.

The Nominating Committee of the Auburn Alumni Association Board of Directors is requesting nominations from alumni and friends of Auburn University for four new directors. All nominees must be life members of the association and be willing to serve on a volunteer basis. These board positions require travel to Auburn at least three times per year. Those selected will be installed this fall; each will serve a four-year term.
