Poets & Quants has ranked the Auburn Online MBA in the Harbert College of Business among the top 10 programs nationwide for a fourth consecutive year.
The Auburn Online MBA is No. 8 for Best Online MBA Programs of 2021, maintaining its 2020 ranking. The program first entered the top 10 in 2018. Poets & Quants’ ranking is based on school and alumni surveys regarding admissions standards, academic experience and career outcomes. Alumni rated their satisfaction with the quality of the faculty and their fellow students. They also reported career and salary gains and their overall satisfaction with the school helping them achieve their goals.
This year’s survey included 47 schools, the largest number since Poets & Quants, a nationally recognized online resource for graduate business education, began ranking online MBA programs four years ago.
Auburn began offering a distance Master of Business Administration degree in 1989, making it one of the nation’s oldest. Enrollment has increased steadily since the program began, and 2020 fall semester’s incoming class was the largest in program history.
“Our enrollment growth speaks to the quality of our online MBA program and its value to our students and alumni,” said Stan Harris, associate dean of Graduate and International Programs. “Accomplished business professionals from across the country choose Auburn because we offer an excellent program in a very convenient and highly flexible format that allows students to complete their degree while maintaining busy professional and personal lives.
“In addition to being able to choose the pace at which they proceed through the program, because our courses are delivered asynchronously, students also have great flexibility in scheduling their studies. To top it off, our very competitive pricing creates an opportunity for a very high and quick return on investment.”
Jim Parrish, executive director of Full-Time and Online Graduate Business Programs, said, “Helping our MBA candidates achieve their personal and professional goals is the mission. There is an extended network of connectivity and support that is found within our online MBA program. We have found that adult learners value the flexibility and encouragement from their peers, as well as Harbert faculty and staff. That sense of support and belonging help online students realize they are valued members of the Auburn Family.”
This year, Auburn also has placed No. 18 on the list of Best Online MBA Programs by U.S. News & World Report and No. 19 among the Top 25 Online MBA Programs by The Princeton Review.
