'An Evening of the Performing Arts' set for tonight

In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Auburn University is hosting "An Evening of the Performing Arts" tonight at 7 p.m. in Foy Hall. Featuring Auburn University students, the event will singing, poetry and dancing. Performers are Jarel Fryer, Janelle Green, Jordan Kelley and Daphney Portis. A Faith and Reconciliation Workshop will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church. A beans and rice supper will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by the workshop at 7 p.m. Assistant Vice President of Outeach Johnny Green will be joined by other panelists for the workshop.


Seven new trees to be planted in Auburn University’s Samford Park

Auburn University’s Facilities Management Landscape Services Department will plant seven new oak trees in Samford Park Jan. 17-19. The plan calls for the installation of three white oaks, three scarlet oaks and a willow oak. [Read more]
