Now, here’s something to Tweet about: This year’s 2020 Diversity Promising Practices Conference at Auburn University will feature one of Twitter’s key thought leaders.

Candi Castleberry Singleton, vice president of Diversity Partnership Strategy and Engagement for the social media giant Twitter, will be the keynote speaker for the annual conference, which is set for Feb. 10-11 at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. The conference will focus on a theme of “An Inspired Pathway: Pursuing Leadership Intelligence Through Inclusion.”

Singleton’s focus at Twitter involves her partnering with external organizations to help advance collaboration and inclusivity throughout the industry and the community as a whole. She is also the founder of the award-winning Dignity & Respect Campaign, which has helped organizations create more inclusive work environments. Singleton, who has served as an adjunct professor at Carnegie Mellon University, has developed successful strategies and initiatives in technology, telecommunications and healthcare for companies such as Xerox, Sun Microsystems, Motorola and UPMC. She received a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley, and completed the Stanford Executive Human Resources program.

“We are thrilled to have such an outstanding industry leader speak to our conference attendees to empower organizations with effective strategies in embracing inclusive and diverse environments,” said Taffye Benson Clayton, Auburn University’s associate provost and vice president for Inclusion and Diversity.

The two-day conference is open to all in the public by way of registration at this link. The conference will particularly benefit faculty and administrators in higher education, diversity and inclusion directors, chief diversity officers, public and nonprofit employees, corporate professionals and Human Resources personnel.

The conference is designed to equip those in attendance with effective diversity and inclusion practices, providing everything from the opportunity for a review of an organization’s diversity and inclusion strategy to an increased awareness of the global economy in which we live, to a heightened understanding of policy changes currently affecting organizational diversity programs.
