Article body

Auburn University’s eighth annual All In All Pink event to promote breast cancer and general health awareness will be held Friday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Campus Green.

The event will include guest speakers, free health screenings, informational exhibits and giveaways. A special 15-minute concert performance by the AU Gospel Choir will start at 11:45 a.m. just prior to the noon program. A group photo and release of biodegradable balloons will take place at 12:30 p.m.

“Improving health and well-being in our communities is of strategic importance to University Outreach,” said Royrickers Cook, vice president for University Outreach and associate provost. “We are excited to host this event and bring together a wide variety of community and campus partners. By offering educational programs such as All In All Pink, we can generate greater awareness for cancer screenings; improve the odds for prevention, early detection and survival; and offer general health awareness information. Because All In All Pink helps us all be better informed, and encourages us to share that information with others, we all play a critical role in improving the overall quality of life here at Auburn University and in the community beyond.”

The Office of the Vice President for University Outreach, in collaboration with the Office of Public Service and the Chi chapter of Phi Delta Chi Fraternity, will host the event.

All students, faculty, staff and members of the community are invited to attend. Off-campus participants may park on the top level of the Stadium parking deck on campus.
