The Auburn Alumni Association was recognized at the 2018 CASE International Awards for its monumental success with the 125th Anniversary of Auburn Women, earning Gold for the Year-Long Special Events category and Bronze for Multi-Day Special Events. The win brings the total award count for Auburn University to six, including Case Statements / General Cultivation Publications (Gold), Fundraising Publications Packages (Gold), Fundraising Programs: Flash Campaigns (Silver) and Individual Fundraising Publications (Bronze).

“The Auburn Alumni Association is honored to receive this award on behalf of Auburn University,” said Gretchen VanValkenburg, vice president for alumni affairs and executive director of the Auburn Alumni Association. “Special acknowledgement goes to the planning committee who worked together to establish and implement visionary goals for the 125th Anniversary of Auburn Women. Together, we were able to engage alumni and friends in a variety of memorable events and programs. Additionally, we created a model for future university-wide celebrations that provide meaningful engagement.”

Though the 125th Anniversary celebration formally ended at the conclusion of 2017, individual events celebrating the lives of Auburn alumnae are still ongoing and the complete 125th Anniversary website is still available through via the Auburn Alumni Association website at www.alumni.auburn.edu/women
