Facilities Management’s August Construction Update now online

The August Construction Update contains photos and details for 10 capital projects currently taking place. Capital projects are those that cost more than $1 million and must be approved by the Auburn University Board of Trustees before construction can begin.

This edition includes photos of the recently completed Starbucks relocation project. Now located on Melton Student Center’s main floor, this venue can seat more than 55 customers and serves a full Starbucks menu.

Five new construction projects are also featured. They include:
1. A new corporate hangar at the Auburn University Regional Airport
2. A pavilion at the Alabama Cooperative Extension System’s Graham Farm and Nature Center
3. Renovations inside the McWhorter Center for both the gymnastics and softball locker rooms
4. Plainsman Park improvements will add a Hall of Fame Club and premium seats at field level
5. Renovation of a 57,000-square-foot building will provide new research, classroom and faculty space at Auburn University at Montgomery.
