Auburn University holds Employee Appreciation Week

Auburn University recently dedicated a week to recognize the contributions and hard work of employees.
Employee Appreciation Week occurred from April 24-28. University Human Resources (UHR) worked with HR liaisons and other campus partners to organize several events.
The Employee Recognition Program, which was held at The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center, was one of the highlights. More than 650 employees were honored, including the four Employees of the Year:
- Philip Stephens, Office of Information Technology
- Amanda Buckalew, Office of Accessibility
- Sydney Riley, College of Engineering
- Justin Choron, Student Affairs
Each of these employees received a $3,000 award from the Auburn University Foundation. They were selected from a pool of 48 Spirit of Excellence recipients.
Other events that were held include:
- Departmental Appreciation Day
- Yoga on Samford Lawn
- The Walk @ Lunch
- The Woltosz Football Complex Tour
- Night at the Jule Collins Smith Museum
- The Departmental Showcase
- Lee County Humane Society Pet Food Drive
The Departmental Showcase (500-plus), Football Complex Tour (400-plus) and Night at the Museum (300-plus) had the most attendees.
