The First 56 is a series of curated events hosted by campus departments and student organizations, offering eight weeks of programming designed to showcase student life on campus.

With your help, Student Involvement’s University Program Council, or UPC, in Student Affairs is continuing to welcome students to The Plains this fall as The First 56 (first 56 days of the semester) will run from Aug. 7-Oct. 1. The First 56 relies on campus partners to help students engage with our campus community and build healthy habits from the beginning to set the tone for the rest of the year.

We need your help to be successful in offering a full calendar of events and connection opportunities for students to meet people, discover campus resources and get plugged in during their first eight weeks.

You can submit your event at any time throughout the summer, but to ensure your event is publicized on The First 56 Welcome Calendar by the first Camp War Eagle session (May 24), please submit your events to AUinvolve and apply the “First 56” event category tag by May 19.

Refer to the Event Planning Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to create an event on AUinvolve and to have it populate on the Welcome Calendar.

Funding requests quesions should be emailed to First56@auburn.edu with “Funding Request + Organization Name” in the subject line at least 15 business days before your event date to request funds for reimbursement (up to $1,000 per event.)
