Yin Sun, assistant professor and graduate program co-officer in electrical and computer engineering, believes they can and will prove it through his newest proposal, “Semantic and Goal-oriented Status Updating for Real-time Inference, Monitoring, and Decision-Making.”

Sun’s impactful research was awarded a $516,000 National Science Foundation, or NSF, Faculty Early Development CAREER Award, the NSF’s most prestigious award in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research within the context of their organizational missions.
