New events scheduled for Employee Appreciation Week

From football and yoga to food and art, Employee Appreciation Week will include something for all employees. This special week will be held April 24-28 and is designed to honor the contributions of Auburn employees. 

The event schedule is listed below. Additional details are available.

Monday, April 24 (Marvelous Monday)

• Departmental Appreciation Day: Departments are encouraged to recognize the hard work of their employees. A list of employee recognition ideas is available online.

Tuesday, April 25 (Terrific Tuesday)

• Samford Lawn Yoga: 9:30 a.m.-10:15 a.m., Employees and their family members are invited to participate in this free event. (The event is sponsored by the Office of Inclusion and Diversity.)

• Employee Recognition Program: 1 p.m., The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center -Spirit of Excellence and Years of Service recipients along with recent college graduates and Supervisor Pathways graduates will be honored. (Invitations have been sent to honorees.)

Wednesday, April 26 (Wellness Wednesday)

• Walk @ Lunch: 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Walks will begin outside of the following locations: the Harrison College of Pharmacy, Facilities Management - Building 1, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Jule Collins Smith Museum, and the East Glenn Administrative Complex.

• Night at the Museum: The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will be open from 6-8 p.m. Admission is free, but online registration is strongly encouraged. Light refreshments will be available while supplies last. Employees can also receive 10% off museum store purchases.

Thursday, April 27 (Touchdown Thursday)

• Football Complex Open House: 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Auburn Athletics invites employees to enjoy a self-guided tour at the Woltosz Football Performance Center. Attendees can also register for door prizes.

Friday, April 28 (Fabulous Friday)

• Departmental Showcase: 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Alumni Center, Dozens of campus programs and organizations will share information about their valuable work.

• Healthy Tigers will also provide screenings and COVID-19 boosters at the Showcase. Employee identification is required.

Special Offers

The following will be offered during Employee Appreciation Week.

• The Edge and Tiger Zone will offer meals for $8.80 plus tax. (The employee can use the discount as many times as they would like.)

• Campus Recreation will offer free admission to full-time employees, along with their spouses and partners. (The offer is for unlimited visits throughout the week, but facility access is only allowed during operational hours. Spouses and partners must live in the same household as the employee.)

Pet Food Drive

Throughout the week, employees can donate pet food and supplies for the Lee County Humane Society. (Donation locations are listed online.)
