The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art will open its doors from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, for a night of celebrating art and the community.

The current exhibitions on view at the museum will be closing on May 7 to prepare for the facility’s summer show, Monuments and Myth. To celebrate the close and build anticipation for the summer, the museum has invited the public to “Night at the Museum,” a free blowout bash featuring food and drink, music, artmaking and a special guest appearance from sculpture artist Masaomi Yasunaga.

During the party, guests will be able to grab free food and drink from local food truck vendors while supplies last, stroll through the galleries while listening to a specially curated playlist created by the museum’s student guides, flex their creative muscles by assembling their own vision boards at the artmaking activity and much more. The event is free and open to the public, but guests are encouraged to register on the museum’s website beforehand.

Anyone interested may learn more about the event and register online.
