Department of Art & Art History presenting lecture with ‘Transformers’ visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar

The animation program within the Department of Art & Art History at Auburn University will host visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar from 7-8 p.m. CST on Wednesday, April 19, for a Zoom presentation on the art of cinematography in storytelling.

Farrar is best known for his visual effects work on “Transformers,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “A Quiet Place Part II.” His other credits include “World War Z,” “The Hunger Games,” “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” and the “Star Wars” franchise. Farrar has been nominated for an Oscar six times and won for his work on “Cocoon.”
