Auburn’s bass fishing dynamic duo reels in another title

Auburn’s Logan Parks and Tucker Smith — who made history by winning the $1 million Bass Pro Shops U.S. Open National Bass Fishing Amateur Team Championships in 2021 — recently reeled in another whopper of a bass fishing title when they won the Strike King Bassmaster College Classic presented by Bass Pro Shops in Tennessee.

Parks — a December graduate who earlier this year set up a scholarship to support the Auburn Bass Fishing Team, and Smith, a junior majoring in marketing, caught 16 pounds, 3 ounces of bass at the event and were presented the trophy inside Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee. The 2021 Team of the Year in the college ranks, Parks and Smith were fishing in their last collegiate event together, given Parks’ recent graduation.
