WINGS peer mentor applications now open

Applications for the Warm Hearted Individuals Nurturing Great Success, or WINGS, peer mentor program are now open. The program is seeking Auburn University students aged 18-26 interested in supporting the Education to Accomplish Growth in Life Experiences for Success, or EAGLES, students in academic classes, integrated work experiences and social settings. Additionally, WINGS have the opportunity to assist EAGLES in developing skills in the areas of independent living and health and wellness.

By being a WINGS peer mentor, students have the opportunity to earn the following:

• Practicum/internship hours (with approval from all departments)

• Disability Advocacy Certificate – GREAT resume builder!

• Volunteer hours

• New friendships

• Experience working with people with disabilities

• Recommendation letters

• Leadership Role Opportunities

The WINGS Peer Mentor program is an Auburn University student organization.

Applications are open until May 5, with interviews taking place this summer.
