New Game Room opening in Melton Student Center Wednesday

The Auburn student experience will level up this week with the unveiling of the new, state-of-the-art game room inside the Melton Student Center. The facility features more than 40 high-end gaming computers; 35 Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles; throwback arcade stations with hundreds of vintage games; a competitive eSports stage; and streaming studios.

Student Affairs, with support from the Student Government Association, kicked off the project on Tiger Giving Day last year. With input from individual students and student organizations, including the Auburn eSports Club and University Program Council, a space that caters to both competitive esports gamers and recreational video game players.

To celebrate the opening, students are invited to drop by the game room to check out the new space, which will officially open at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 15.
