The Code of Student Conduct, administered by the Student Conduct Office, applies to students on and off campus. The Code of Student Conduct was revised in January 2023. Changes include updates to the expungement policy, the Medical Assistance Policy and to apply the Code of Student Conduct to instances where students are arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs off campus. For more information on the Code of Student Conduct, visit the Student Conduct Office web page or review the Code of Student Conduct.

The Medical Assistance Policy empowers students and student organizations to seek medical assistance for individuals who may be experiencing health-related complications from activity that is illegal or a violation of university policy. The policy aims to reduce barriers to seeking help and to encourage students and student organizations to make responsible decisions in potentially serious or life-threatening situations.

Student Conduct would like to remind the Auburn Family the health and safety of Auburn University students are of the utmost importance and that the following steps should be taken in necessary situations so that the student or student organization may be granted an exemption under the Medical Assistance Policy:

1. Immediately contact emergency officials by calling 911 to report the incident,

2. Remain with the individual(s) needing medical assistance, so long as it is safe to do so,

3. Cooperate with emergency officials,

4. Meet with appropriate university officials after the incident and,

5. Cooperate with any university and/or law enforcement investigation(s).
