Pharmacy's Calderón recognized by Panamanian Pharmacy Association

Angela Calderón, associate professor in the Harrison College of Pharmacy's Department of Drug Discovery and Development, was recently recognized by the Panamanian Pharmacy Association as a recipient of the Female Scientist Pharmacist Research Excellence Award.

She was one of five recipients in the inaugural class of the award, recently created to foster and support women in science and technology. The award was presented in a ceremony in Panama City, Panama, and Calderón was recognized for her research contributions to the field of natural product chemistry and pharmacognosy.
