Auburn’s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture, or APLA, will host the inaugural Bob & Sherry Faust Distinguished Lecture on Wednesday, March 22, at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center.

This event will feature speakers Hans Butzer, Stephanie Pilat and Christian Dagg. Butzer and Pilat are on the faculty at the Gibbs College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma, Bob Faust’s alma mater, where Butzer is dean and Pilat is director of the architecture program. Dagg is an associate professor of architecture in APLA.

The event will honor the legacy of Robert L. Faust, professor emeritus of architecture who passed away in November 2020. Faust taught in APLA from 1968 until his retirement in 2012, while also maintaining his own design practice. The Bob & Sherry Faust Distinguished Lecture is made possible through the generosity and support of Professor Faust’s wife, Sherry.

The event will begin at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow. It will be livestreamed on YouTube by the College of Architecture, Design and Construction.

Anyone interested may reserve tickets, view livestream details and more online.
