The Office of Inclusion and Diversity, or OID, is hosting an information session for faculty and staff who may be looking to be part of employee resource groups, or ERGs.

ERGs are groups of individuals with shared commonalities who form on a voluntary basis to provide resources, community, professional and personal development opportunities. ERGs create environments that foster diversity, understanding and inclusiveness where employees are encouraged to be their authentic selves. OID supports individuals to formalize ERGs to further Auburn University’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through comprehensive sponsorship and achieve its strategic goal of “Exceptional and Engaged Faculty and Staff.”

Two interest meetings have been scheduled to let anyone interested learn more about this opportunity. The meetings will take place Feb. 22-23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at M.W. Smith Hall, Room 117. To learn more, contact Mike Smith, Coordinator of Diversity Engagement for OID, at 344-844-5087 or dms0105@auburn.edu.

For more information on Auburn’s commitment to DEI and other notes of recognition, please visit OID through Instagram, the DEI landing page or by signing up for the OID newsletter that is set to return later this spring.
