This spring, units within the Office of the Provost, including Academic Support, the Biggio Center, Academic Insight and University Writing, will host a daylong conference to share teaching strategies to improve student success.

Hosted April 6 at Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center, or AUDCC, and the Academic Classroom and Laboratory Complex, or ACLC, the Elevated Education Exchange will offer an opportunity for campus community members to showcase innovative teaching techniques, new technologies, continuous assessment and improvement approaches.

The event will include keynote speakers, Auburn faculty panels and a poster session focused on innovative approaches to building and enhancing student success. All faculty, staff and administrative professionals are invited to submit proposals for the poster session.

A schedule and poster session guidelines are provided below. Poster presentations can be submitted at this webpage. For questions about the Elevated Education Exchange, contact biggio1@auburn.edu.

Poster Guidelines

Posters may feature individuals or teams sharing stories of student success in any of the following areas:

  • Teaching-focused posters demonstrate innovative activities, assignments, or curricular initiatives that support student learning and prepare them for their careers and life.

  • Engagement-focused posters that promote practical student success activities among student support units.

  • Articulation-focused posters that align with AUBURNACHIEVE and help students define connections between their academic, co-curricular and professional experiences.

All posters should include evidence of student success, such as academic achievement, health and wellness or career readiness. The poster style for this event does not require typical research poster elements. Posters can be digital or printed.

Digital poster requirements: Due to space limitations, posters requiring digital display due to animations or video will receive priority. Posters should include one (1) PowerPoint slide using the widescreen format (16 x 9 ratio.) The slide can contain a short, looping video (no audio).

Paper poster requirements: 1 printed, 30” x 40” landscape or portrait poster displayed in classrooms.

Resources for creating posters: The Innovation and Research Commons, or I&RC, in RBD Library provides the following resources for creating, designing and printing posters:

Proposal Guidelines

Interested poster session participants should submit their choice of poster format (digital or paper), subtheme (Teaching, Engagement or Articulation), title, abstract and names and email addresses for all presenters by 5 p.m. on March 15. Presenters will be notified of submission acceptance via email by March 24.
