College of Education online programs garner U.S. News & World Report top rankings

Auburn University’s College of Education online graduate programs are among the nation’s best, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Online Program rankings released Jan. 24.
The College of Education is ranked No. 10 overall “best” among colleges of education, up four places from No. 14 in 2022.
Individual programs within the college also receiving “best” national designations include Education for Curriculum and Instruction, No. 12, up five spots from No. 17 in 2022, and Educational Administration and Supervision, No. 13.
“Momentum is our theme in the College of Education,” said Jeffrey T. Fairbrother, dean of the College of Education and Wayne T. Smith Distinguished Professor. “You can clearly see our momentum in this year’s U.S. News & World Report rankings. We’re excelling, growing and thriving throughout our academic areas. It’s gratifying to see the hard work of our faculty, staff and students recognized among the best in the nation.”
The U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings are based on factors such as student engagement and excellence, faculty credentials and training, expert opinion and services and technology.
“We have worked diligently to create a robust and diverse academic environment for our students and look forward to continuing our ascent, not only in national rankings, but even more, in faculty, staff and student satisfaction and achievement. For us, that is the true measure of success,” Fairbrother said.
