Dean Emeritus J. T. Vaughan memorial services

Dr. John Thomas Vaughan, the fifth dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, passed away on Jan. 13, 2023, at the age of 90. Dr. Vaughan served not only as teacher and mentor to countless veterinary students, but to so many who were fortunate to call him friend. This is a great loss to the veterinary profession and to Auburn University; but his kindness, professionalism and wisdom will continue to have a profound impact on and throughout the veterinary community and the college for years to come.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Tuskegee Cemetery and is open to all. A celebration of the life and career of Dr. Vaughan is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 6, from 2-4 p.m. in the Veterinary Education Center on the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine campus. All are welcome to attend.
