Open enrollment ending Nov. 30
Article body
Open Enrollment ends tomorrow, Nov. 30, at 4:45 p.m. Employees who have not completed the Open enrollment process should review their options and choose the benefits that work best for them.
To enroll online or to review current insurance offerings, go to AU Access and click on the Benefits Enrollment icon (look for the orange umbrella). To learn more about Auburn’s benefits, visit aub.ie/oe2023. Employees can also participate in the Virtual Benefits Fair, and register for prize drawings.
If an employee is not currently enrolled in health, dental and/or vision insurance plans or other voluntary benefit plans, Open enrollment is their only chance this year to sign up for, or make changes to, these elections unless there is a qualifying event. Examples of a qualifying event include marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child.
If an employee is currently enrolled in health, dental and/or vision insurance plans or other voluntary benefit plans, and they do not want to make any changes to their coverages, there is nothing they need to do to continue them. However, they must re-enroll for the Flexible Spending Account, or FSA, otherwise, their FSA contributions, which include the medical and/or dependent care (child/elder care) accounts, will end on Dec. 31, 2022.
