Super 7 brings state’s top high school football teams to Jordan-Hare this week

Auburn University’s Jordan-Hare Stadium will host the Alabama High School Athletic Association, or AHSAA, Super 7 State Football Championship beginning Wednesday, Nov. 30, through Friday, Dec. 2. Over the course of three days, the final two teams from each of Alabama’s seven classifications (1A through 7A) will compete to be crowned as the new state champions. Each year, the event alternates between the three largest football facilities in the state, Jordan-Hare Stadium, the University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium and the newly built Protective Stadium in Birmingham.
While the games are being played at Auburn, they are operated under the direction of the AHSAA with assistance from the Knight-Eady Sports Group, Auburn-Opelika Tourism Bureau the cities of Auburn and Opelika and Auburn Athletics.
Attending fans should park in designated areas outside of the core campus to allow for normal business operations. Tiger Transit buses will be available to transport attendees to the stadium for the games. Please be advised that War Eagle Way, near Village Housing, will accommodate one-way (eastbound) traffic only from noon Wednesday, Nov. 30, to 11 p.m., Friday, Dec. 2. Fireworks will follow each night’s games.
