Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to sign up for, cancel or make changes to your benefits. This includes your Auburn University health insurance. The deadline to complete this process is Nov. 30 at 4:45 p.m.

To enroll online or to review your current insurance offerings, go to AU Access and click on the Benefits Enrollment icon (look for the orange umbrella). To learn more about our benefits, visit aub.ie/oe2023. You can also participate in our Virtual Benefits Fair, and register for prize drawings. Benefit enrollers are also available to help if you would like assistance with online enrollment. As of Thursday afternoon, there are several appointment openings for Nov. 29-30.

If you are not currently enrolled in health, dental and/or vision insurance plans or other voluntary benefit plans, Open Enrollment is your only chance this year to sign up for, or make changes to, these elections unless there is a qualifying event. A few examples of a qualifying event include marriage, divorce or the birth of a child.

If you are currently enrolled in health, dental and/or vision insurance plans or other voluntary benefit plans and you do not want to make any changes to your coverages, there is nothing you need to do to continue them. However, you must re-enroll for the Flexible Spending Account, or FSA. Otherwise, your FSA contributions, which include the medical and/or dependent care (child/elder care) accounts, will end on Dec. 31, 2022.

Once you review your final selections and verify the benefit coverages that you selected for you and your dependents, you must sign and submit the enrollment confirmation form. You should then print or download a copy of the benefit verification for your records. You must also “Sign/Submit” to confirm your 2023 FSA enrollment. Otherwise, your 2023 FSA enrollment is not saved.
