Dunk the Dean: A worthy cause draws College of Education dean to dunk tank

Jeffrey T. Fairbrother, dean of Auburn’s College of Education and Wayne T. Smith, Distinguished Professor, exchanged their business suits for a swimsuit to brave Auburn University Dance Marathon’s dunk tank on the concourse on Wednesday.

Students, faculty and staff from the college and throughout campus took on the challenge to, “dunk the dean” for a little fun—and to raise funds to support the Children’s Hospital at Piedmont Columbus Regional.

College of Liberal Arts Dean Jason Hicks followed Fairbrother into the tank to help the worthy cause, which also featured appearances by Student Government Association President Jake Haston, 2022 Miss Homecoming Emmy Beason, Student Recruiter President Kylee McNutt and more.
