Since 2018, the Graduate School has been awarding Presidential Graduate Research Fellowships and Presidential Graduate Opportunity Fellowships to incoming doctoral students.

This year, 89 Presidential Graduate Research Fellows and 11 Presidential Graduate Opportunity Fellows across campus were invited attend the Graduate School’s reception for Presidential Fellows and their faculty advisors. Approximately 100 doctoral students and faculty participated in a networking reception where certificates were awarded to the fellows.

Dean George Flowers and the Graduate School hosted a Presidential Fellows reception on Nov. 4 to celebrate the accomplishments of the fellowship recipients.

Each college can nominate new applicants for these fellowships to help recruit and retain exceptionally qualified doctoral students at Auburn University. Both graduate fellowships are awarded for three years and are part of programming and related efforts to enhance Auburn’s research and scholarly profile, as well as diversity and inclusion in the graduate student population.
