The Office of Inclusion and Diversity, or OID, is conducting an internal search for the position of Assistant Provost for Women’s Initiatives and Gender Equity.

Reporting to the Vice President and Associate Provost for Inclusion and Diversity, the Assistant Provost for Women’s Initiatives and Gender Equity will develop and manage programs and initiatives that support and advance all Auburn University women faculty, students and administrative positions, as well as professionals in alignment with priorities identified in Auburn University’s and the OID’s goals.

The position will collaborate and build strong internal and external partnerships while working to increase recruitment, retention and advancement among women, particularly faculty. This role will comprehensively assess the impact and effectiveness of all efforts, utilize research and data to inform and advance issues concerning women and track legislation and public policy related to women’s issues.

Candidates must upload a cover letter, current CV and a one-page statement detailing their experience and engagement with matters regarding women and gender equity through scholarship, (including engaged scholarship), teaching and service. Contact information for three professional references is required, including one from the candidate’s current department head/chair.
