Students interested in supporting peers in academics or independent living, being a job coach, learning more about personal training or looking to make new friends and get connected across campus are encouraged to apply to be a WINGS peer mentor.

The EAGLES Program is currently accepting applications for WINGS peer mentors. The Education to Accomplish Growth in Life Experiences for Success, or EAGLES, is a comprehensive transition program for students with intellectual disabilities. The program provides a post-secondary education opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities to engage in a two- or four-year campus experience to help students achieve their employment and independent living goals upon successful completion of the program.

We are looking for Auburn University students, ages 18-26, that are interested in supporting our EAGLES students in academics, health and wellness, employment and social settings. By being a WINGS Peer Mentor, students can earn the following:
• Practicum/internship hours (with approval from all departments)
• Disability Advocacy Certificate–great resume builder
• Volunteer hours
• New friendships
• Experience working with people with disabilities
• Recommendation letters
