Faculty and staff can now select or update their benefit elections for 2023 by going to AU Access and selecting the Online Benefits Enrollment umbrella to begin the process.

The open enrollment website includes information on benefits including health insurance, retirement options, life insurance and more.

  • Open Enrollment continues until 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30. IRS regulations do not allow for plan enrollment or changes beyond this deadline unless there is a qualifying event during the year. Examples of qualifying events include marriage, divorce, birth of a child, etc.

  • If you are enrolled in an FSA for medical and/or dependent care, you must re-enroll before Nov. 30. Otherwise, your FSA contributions will end as of Dec. 31. Please review the Open Enrollment website for additional information.

If you need help with online enrollment, visit to schedule an appointment with a benefits enroller. You can also call (833)203-4283 to schedule an appointment. However, inbound calls may not be answered immediately. Employees who schedule an appointment online will be prioritized over those who attempt to schedule via phone.

Important reminders:

  • You will not receive an open enrollment guide in the mail. The open enrollment website is the main source of information.

  • As you complete your online enrollment, please review and/or update the following information:

    • Your beneficiary(ies): A beneficiary is the person or entity you name in an insurance policy or retirement account to receive benefits.

    • The Social Security number(s) and birthdate(s) for your dependent(s)

    • The life insurance rates for you and your dependent(s): Please note that rates may change depending on age.

    • Your emergency contacts: You can update this information via AU Access - Self Service Banner (SSB). Just look for “Update Emergency Contacts” under the “Personal Information” tab.
