Auburn University Political Science Associate Professor Bridgett King recently was a guest on Melissa Harris-Perry’s podcast “The Takeaway” and discussed local elections, politics and ballots on an episode that was part of the show’s “DOWNBALLOT” series.

King—who serves as the Master of Public Administration program director for the Department of Political Science in Auburn’s College of Liberal Arts—talked about why some voters might not fill out their entire ballots and ways that potentially could change in the future. King and Harris-Perry—an American writer, professor, television host and political commentator—responded to comments from callers and discussed ways that citizens can learn more about the candidates in their area, among other election-related aspects.

King’s podcast interview can be found here.
