Auburn University Young Professionals, or AUYP, will host its next event on November 1 from 1-2 p.m. in Room 103 of the OIT Building. This free event features a presentation with John Morris, senior vice president for advancement at Auburn University and president of the Auburn University Foundation and the Auburn University Real Estate Foundation, followed by a question and answer session.

He previously served as senior vice president for development for the Kansas State University Foundation following his position as senior director of development for the University of Minnesota Foundation. Morris began his career in higher education at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, as assistant director of athletics for advancement, later becoming the institution’s associate vice president for advancement.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota, and a master's degree from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois.

AUYP aims to connect the young professionals of the university with the upper level administrators.  Through a series of one-hour interactive programs, young professionals have the chance to hear stories and gain advice from those in influential positions across campus.
