Cybersecurity Awareness Month digital scavenger hunt

The Office of Information Technology invites students to join in a digital scavenger hunt during their annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month throughout October. Each week there will be a new riddle and clue for students to solve before Oct. 31. The first students to correctly complete the digital scavenger hunt will win prizes redeemable at local businesses and restaurants.

The first hint highlights Duo, the campus multi-factor authentication, or MFA, method. OIT reminds students to only accept Duo requests they initiate, and if you are receiving several authentication requests, you should never accept them. Students who receive several repetitive Duo requests should immediately report this suspicious activity to OIT and avoid MFA fatigue.
