Article body

The Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art is looking to hire Auburn University students for the position of Museum Visitor Assistant to warmly welcome and engage visitors in our lobby, shop and galleries, as well as assist with events hosted at the museum.

The museum is accepting all applications, but particularly is searching for students who would be available during the morning and/or noon hours and students who would be available during university breaks (spring break, between semesters). The ideal candidate exemplifies superior hospitality, possesses excellent communication and customer service skills and enjoys behind-the-scenes work as well, including event space setup and breakdown.

Visitor Assistants should be able to answer questions quickly and effectively, enjoy working cooperatively with others, have exceptional organizational skills and an eye for detail. Most importantly, Museum Visitor Assistants represent the museum and Auburn University in a professional, cheerful and kind manner.
