Reminder: College Street lane closures expected beginning Oct. 5

Lane closures on College Street are expected beginning Wednesday, Oct. 5, while a contractor constructs new curb and gutter and sidewalk. This work is part of the South College Street, Samford Avenue, South Gay Street improvements project. Construction will begin at Reese Avenue and move north to Miller Avenue, starting with the east side of College Street.

One lane will be closed during work between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. over the next several weeks. All other lanes of traffic will remain open, and two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
