OLLI Lecture at the Library: Israel, the Palestinians and U.S. Middle East Policy

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, or OLLI, at Auburn University will present Israel, the Palestinians and U.S. Middle East Policy with Lee Dowdy. This presentation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 17, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Cooper Room at the Opelika Public Library located at 1100 Glenn Avenue. This lecture is open to the public and no registration is necessary.

In this presentation, Dowdy will discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the perspectives of the two opposing sides, as well as from the US perspective. In 2012, Dowdy retired from his position of Professor of Political Science at Alabama State University, where he also served as Chairman of the Faculty Senate and Advisor to the Student Government Association. During his long academic career, Dowdy served on the faculties of the USAF Air War College, Dalhousie University in Canada, Boston University in Europe, Mount St. Mary’s College and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
