On Saturday, 1,533 women received invitations to join one of the 18 Auburn Panhellenic organizations. Ninety percent of the women who participated in 2022 fall recruitment received bids for membership from a sorority.

“It has been a privilege and an honor to watch so many young women go through recruitment and join the Panhellenic community,” Auburn Panhellenic President Caroline Green said. “We are so excited to welcome these women whom we know will do amazing things for their chapters and this campus.”

Over 11 days of recruitment activities, 1,707 potential new members, or PNMs, were introduced to each individual organization and afforded opportunities to connect with current members and learn about each chapter. Guiding them through the process were Pi Chis, or recruitment counselors, sorority members who have temporarily disaffiliated from their organization and received special training to ensure they remain a source of impartial advice and support.

“We are so proud of our Pi Chi’s for all their hard work and dedication to making this transition easy for every PNM,” Head Pi Chi Sydney Blaxton said. “Recruitment 2022 was nothing short but a success”

The culmination of the recruitment process, Bid Day, began with potential new members gathering in Neville Arena and moved to the Village, where the women celebrated alongside friends, family and sorority members.

“I am endlessly proud of our Recruitment Executive Board, Pi Chis and chapter leadership for the way they have led over the past few weeks,” Auburn Panhellenic Vice President for Recruitment Sydney Bowdoin said. “It has been a joy to watch the PNMs as they have grown and found confidence throughout this process.”
