At-home COVID-19 test kits are being made available to Auburn faculty, staff and students through the AU Employee Pharmacy and the AU Student Pharmacy.

Those in need of a test can obtain them free of charge by way of the person’s insurance coverage. The Student Pharmacy, located at 400 Lem Morrison Drive within the Auburn University Medical Clinic, is open during the summer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The AU Employee Pharmacy, located on the second floor of the Harrison College of Pharmacy, is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays.

At-home COVID-19 tests are also being offered by way of the federal government and retail pharmacies. Since January, commercial insurance companies and group health plans have been required to provide coverage for authorized over-the-counter COVID at-home testing products with a zero cost share for members for as many as eight individual tests per member each month.

In addition to providing at-home COVID-19 tests, Auburn also is continuing to strongly recommend that faculty, staff and students become vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot as soon as possible when eligible.
