Samford Avenue to be closed July 5-8

Samford Avenue between Gay and College streets will be closed to through traffic Tuesday through Friday, July 5-8, as storm pipe installation continues requiring significant work in the travel lanes. The roadway will be open to local traffic only.

A small section of the southbound lane of Gay Street near Samford Avenue continues to be closed. Traffic control measures are in place to help local traffic navigate around the closure, and all businesses and residences in the area remain accessible.

Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and to take alternate routes to avoid delays. Please note, this work is subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
