Nearly 50 percent of campus’ building access readers have been upgraded with new proximity style readers that allow for easy, contactless entry. This summer and fall, Facilities Management will continue efforts to outfit additional campus buildings with the new readers.

To ensure the rest of the installation process goes smoothly for all, and to make sure no one loses access to their respective building, it is important for faculty and staff still using a plastic ID badge for entry to take at least one of the following actions:

1. Install the new mobile credential to your Apple or Google Wallet.2. If you have not received a new ID card within the past 12 months, be on the lookout for a communication from Employee ID Services (employeeid@auburn.edu) regarding the various options you will have available to pick up your card in the coming weeks. If you do not require access to buildings or rooms, there is no mandate to install the new mobile credential on your device. For additional information visit here and here.
