Regan Moss, a senior in neuroscience, was selected to present at the 2022 Posters on the Hill session sponsored by the Council for Undergraduate Research.

Posters on the Hill is a highly selective competition that features the very best undergraduate researchers from campuses nationwide. Moss was one of only 88 in the country and one of only four in Alabama to be selected.

The Council on Undergraduate Research, or CUR, is an organization of 14,000 members from around the world whose mission is to support and promote high-quality, mentored undergraduate research, scholarship and creative inquiry. Each year, CUR hosts Posters on the Hill to demonstrate the value of federal investment in undergraduate research to members of Congress, congressional staffers, federal government officials, academics and others.

Moss, who works in the Department of Psychological Sciences’ Juvenile Delinquency Laboratory, presented a poster on the unintended consequences of juvenile public registration and notification policies on youth completing treatment for illegal sexual behavior.

After graduating from Auburn in May, Moss will conduct research at Yale University in the Departments of Gynecology and Psychiatry, studying mental health outcomes and their effect on maternal and infant relations and infant development. In the fall, she will begin the Master of Public Health program at Columbia University, where she will specialize in population and family health. Her research interests include generational trauma, maternal and infant relations, and reproductive and sexual health.
