Auburn University’s Outreach Global Office is hosting its premier Global Community Day Festival on April 8 across two events located in both Auburn and Opelika.

The festival kick-off event will take place at the Jule Collins Smith Museum from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a main event at the Opelika Sportsplex and Aquatics Center grounds and Amphitheater from 3 to 8 p.m.

At the Opelika Sportsplex and Aquatics Center grounds, the Auburn Family is invited to attend and experience international cuisine, diverse cultural dance and music, arts and crafts, a parade of the flags, global attire showcase, hair wrap demonstration, games, fun activities for the entire family and enjoy a special concert performance by MustB, a K-Pop group from Korea.

“Members of the international community are looking for a sense of belonging in their local communities,” said Elizabeth I. Quansah, director of Outreach Global. “The purpose of this festival is to bridge the gap between the local and international communities in our area, promote unity and support our diverse population.”

The festival is sponsored by: Auburn University Outreach Global; Auburn University Outreach; City of Opelika; City of Auburn; Auburn University Korea Center; Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Arts; The National Forum or Black Public Administrators, or NFBPA; Spicer’s Music; Korea Foundation USA; E-Dental; ATLocal Entertainment; Mando; and Publix.
