EagleCast Webinar Series presenting 'Emergency Preparedness for the Individual'

Registration is now open for the next installment of EagleCast, the monthly webinar series hosted by the Office of Professional and Continuing Education. Chance Corbett, retired director of emergency management for Auburn University, will discuss the importance of preparing for a variety of emergency situations including severe weather, civil unrest, hazardous materials and active shooter. His presentation takes place Thursday, March 24, through Zoom and is followed by a question-and-answer session.

Corbett currently serves as the emergency manager and director of homeland security for Columbus, Georgia, and holds a master’s level emergency manager certification from the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers, or AAEM, and the designation as a Certified Emergency Manager, or CEM©, with the International Association of Emergency Managers. Corbett is in his third term as an elected official in the role of county commissioner for Russell County, Alabama, and is currently in his second year as chairman.
