The Medical Assistance Policy empowers students and student organizations to seek medical assistance for individuals who may be experiencing health-related complications from alcohol, drugs or other substances. The policy aims to reduce barriers to seeking help and to encourage students and student organizations to make responsible decisions in potentially serious or life-threatening situations.

In these situations, students and student organizations should follow the Medical Assistance Protocol, or MAP.

Student organizations are encouraged to complete the training so their organization can be granted exemption or amnesty if an incident were to happen. Every student organization member must be trained for their organization to qualify for exemption. The training session takes 30-45 minutes.

To schedule a training, email conduct@auburn.edu. For more information on the Medical Assistance Policy and MAP, click here.
