Article body
Student Affairs' Director of Assessment and Strategic Planning Abby Langham was elected to serve as the chair-elect for National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, or NASPA, Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community. Womxn is used as an alternative spelling to avoid the suggestion of sexism perceived in woman/women and is used to be inclusive of trans and nonbinary women. Langham will serve alongside Krystal Allen of Old Dominion University.
The purpose of the Womxn in Student Affairs Knowledge Community is to give voice to the needs of womxn in student affairs and to provide professional development opportunities through both regional and national activities designed to address gender equity and prompt personal growth.
