Memorial service announced for long-serving faculty member Bill Kelly

A memorial service will be held for political science professor Bill Kelly at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on North College St.

Professor Kelly joined the Auburn University faculty in the fall of 1973, and for the past 48-plus years dedicated himself to his students, his profession, the department and the betterment of Auburn. He loved teaching and working with students, having taught and mentored thousands over his career at Auburn. Professor Kelly was the recipient of many scholarly awards and professional recognitions, including the induction into the College of Liberal Arts Teaching Academy, the highest honor awarded to a member of the CLA faculty.
