Burke, Gillis presenting on mindful couple relationships in upcoming EagleCast Webinar Series

Registration is now open for the next installment of EagleCast, the monthly webinar series hosted by the Office of Professional and Continuing Education. Leah Burke, M.S., CFLE, and Brian Gillis, M.Div., LMFT, will discuss research-based practices related to healthy couple relationships and provide strategies for promoting relationships through mindfulness.

The webinar takes place Tuesday, Feb. 22, through Zoom and is followed by a question-and-answer session.

Burke serves in a hybrid role of data manager, case manager and lead trainer for the federally funded Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Project. She is a certified family life educator and works with couples and families to build both personal and relationship skills. Gillis is a doctoral candidate in human development and family science at Auburn. In his research and in clinical work with families, he focuses on the protective roles of everyday behaviors that support mental health.

The EagleCast Webinar Series features experts from a variety of sectors including education, business, industry, health, public service and finance. The ongoing series presents information and skills essential for navigating today’s ever-changing world.
