Auburn University Theatre to present annual dance concert ‘(Re) Imagine: riffs, reverses, and revolutions’

Auburn University Theatre and Dance continues its 2021-22 season with the annual dance concert (Re) Imagine: riffs, reverses and revolutions, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the Telfair Peet Theatre. The show is directed by Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey and features the Auburn University Dance Ensemble and guest artists.

Returning to the Telfair B. Peet Theatre after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and drawing specific inspiration from the season theme, the annual dance concert showcases the creativity and labor of Auburn University Theatre and Dance faculty, students and guest artists. (Re) Imagine: riffs, reverses and revolutions (re)imagines our present moment, offering pieces that strive to make sense of our times and write new narratives. Bringing together a myriad of styles and forms, this concert promises to engage audiences and showcase the abilities of the human body to tell stories.

The artistic team for (Re) Imagine: riffs, reverses and revolutions includes directors Adrienne Wilson and Jeri Dickey, and guest choreographers Shanelle Valentine and Jenna Dickey. The dance company includes Nikki Ahlf, Ashleigh Avallone, Olivia Beland, Samantha Briggs, JoBeth Christopher, Antonavia Collins, Antonisia Collins, Jordan Denson, Julianna Devaney, Laura Downey, Kenley Dreibelbis, Abbey Godfrey, Sarah Godwin, Eli Grant, Olivia Hadley, Grace Keenan, Katie Leonard, Bethany Novotny, Lyndsey Rice, Megan Sheehan, Samantha Sheets, Bronwyn Stearns, Ashley Turner, Jenna Vianna, Kellie Vosteen, Ve Woods and Avonlea Yeakley.

The run time for the dance concert is approximately one hour with no intermission.

In accordance with Auburn University’s current policies regarding COVID-19, all audience members will be required to wear face coverings when inside the theatre. The dancers will also perform masked.
