The Alabama Healthy marriage and Relationship Education, or AHMRE, project wants people to invest in their couple relationship and earn money for survey completion while they do it. AHMRE is currently registering couples for class offerings beginning Tuesday, Feb. 8, and Wednesday, Feb. 9.

Classes are held in person on Auburn University’s campus on Tuesdays and virtually via Zoom on Wednesdays. Participants have the option of choosing which day/location works best for them and their partner.
Participants will be randomly assigned to a weekly series (attend classes once a week for 6 weeks) or a monthly series (attend classes one a month for 6 months.)

All classes are free and will be held in the from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Meals, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at in-person classes, childcare supports and transportation supports are offered for each class session if needed. Virtual participants will receive a meal gift card the day after each session attended.

All class offerings will present ELEVATE, an evidence-based relationship education program that teaches couples how to take their relationships to the next level by focusing on core relationship skills. Here is a video that shows what our classes look like, and another video explaining the project further.

All couples who register will have the opportunity to participate in a program impact study and receive payment for completing 4 surveys over one year. Each person can earn up to $160 over one year for completing the impact study surveys, or $320 per couple. You’ll also be eligible for a program completion payment of $30 (per person) if you complete all six sessions!
